Bondhon-98-Samajkalyan Songstha is a community-driven organization established on March 20, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. When no one could go outside, we took the responsibility of providing essential items, groceries, and food for those in need.
Currently, we engage in various social activities such as arranging funerals for the destitute, providing free classes in schools with teacher shortages, donating or sourcing blood when needed, and planting trees. During this summer’s heatwave, we raised awareness in the Pirgacha market and provided saline and drinks to those affected by the heat.
Our primary goal is to promote social development and serve the people.
Our Activities
We mainly focus on four areas:
- Educational Activities: Our members offer free classes and help improve the quality of education.
- Healthcare Services: We donate blood, promote health awareness, and provide care for the sick.
- Women’s Empowerment: We enhance women’s capabilities through training and awareness programs.
- Environmental Awareness: We plant trees and conduct various activities to protect the environment.
Notable Projects and Events
Our most notable event was helping people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, we organize an annual picnic for all members every December.
Our Members
We currently have 173 members, and the number is growing. Most of them are highly educated, including professionals, businessmen, farmers, expatriates, school teachers, and college teachers. Our members work across all 9 unions of Pirgacha.
